Reaching the cloud
Deadline 10 includes the addition an integration with the AWS Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) to enable customers to expand their render
farms – whether on-premise, in the cloud, or a hybrid of the two – simply and securely. To ensure that all the appropriate files are available in the cloud, Deadline synchronizes with local asset servers and manages the data transfer before rendering begins, tagging accounts and instances for cost tracking.
Usage based licensing
By-the-minute licenses for cloud nodes are available 24/7 through the Thinkbox Marketplace to ensure cost-effective burst rendering. Autodesk 3D Studio Max, Maya, Arnold Render and Chaos Group’s V-Ray are all available in batches of hours and users will only ever use license time while the Deadline Slave application is rendering.
